Because Van Vliet likes to contribute ideas and respond to developments, we have developed a VV connect module in collaboration with our IT partner. This device will be installed in your containers. All kinds of data will then be collected and sent to the cloud. This will tell you where your containers are located, you can monitor the temperature and humidity, and you can see when a container has been opened and closed. Your containers are, as it were, connected to the cloud.

Real-time insight
Since you follow the entire process, you have a better insight into the total route and history of your containers. For instance, if a container tends to stay a long time at the return location, you can take action. If the products you deliver are sensitive to temperature fluctuations, the VV connect module can tell you how constant the temperature is. If you desire, you can receive a push notification if the temperature exceeds or falls below a certain value. The same applies to the humidity. If you are transporting medications or valuable products, you want to make sure that the containers cannot be opened prematurely. The chip registers exactly when a container is opened and closed.

The device is only 8 cm long, 2.5 cm wide and 2.5 cm deep. It has an average useful life of 10 to 13 years, so it is very user-friendly, as you do not have to worry about empty batteries. A message containing up-to-date information is sent every 4 hours. If you would like more frequent updates, this is also possible, although the device will then naturally have a shorter useful life. Incidentally, you do not need to concern yourself about hacking. The device is not connected to your network but it works with a satellite network and everything takes place in the cloud.
